Meet the Chef

She is presently working to publish her first cook book.

A Note from the Chef

Hi, my name is Jodi, and I love to cook! I grew up as the oldest daughter of a large family, so I was young when my cooking career began. When my mother gave me a choice of either helping prepare supper or washing the dishes afterward, it was not hard for me to choose the former of the 2. Since age 10, I was the head chef at home - preparing meals for a family of 7, and I really enjoyed it. Learning new recipes and tricks of the trade became my hobby. My brothers and sisters were especially appreciative of my experimentations in the dessert department...

Career choices in college were not hard for me - my dream was to be a chef. So to culinary school I went. Naturally, I was thrilled, when the 5 star hotel I had done internships for offered me a job as their head chef. I worked at that hotel for 10 years. In the mean time, I got married and started a family. With 3 children at home, nutritious cooking became a priority. So back to school I went. This time I took an online course in food hygiene and nutrition while I continued to work as a chef. Upon completion of the course, I wanted to integrate my new knowledge into my professional life. Since nutrition is not always the highest priority in 5 star food preparation, I decided to take my work to a more personal setting.

Enter 'Your Personal Gourmet Restaurant and Catering Services'. With a lot of support from my husband, I left my job at the hotel and started my own catering company. My goal in creating this company is to customize a deliciously gourmet and nutritious menu for each of my clients. Then back to the kitchen - my favorite place to be. Once the menu has been created, I prepare the food with the same professionalism and class as a head chef at a 5 star hotel!

Please feel free to contact me so we can customize a menu of your dreams!
Jodi =)

p.s. After all these years, I still prefer cooking to washing dishes. Thank you to my dear husband, Jeff, for being my indispensible dishwasher!
